DHL appoints Last Mile for next day tyre delivery service

Last Mile are delighted to have recently been appointed as a strategic partner with DHL Supply Chain, this will involve the business providing a next day delivery service for tyres across the North of England and Cumbria.

Commencing on 5th June 2023, Last Mile trunk product in daily from the Midlands via a nightshift, and then provide a cross dock operation from its Teesside Depot, the product is then loaded onto a dedicated fleet of rigid vehicles ready for delivery B2B.

Last Mile have a team in place who work closely with DHL's team to agree loading priorities and schedules, along with manage all the administration associated with the deliveries.

Last Mile has a huge amount of experience in providing delivery services throughout the North of England and Scotland, so we're delighted to have been presented with this opportunity.

Throughout the startup we have been working closely with DHL to manage the distribution of the tyres on time and we are extremely confident we can continue to meet the complex distribution challenges moving forward.

This opportunity comes about after many months of planning, and we all at Last Mile see this as a perfect fit within our business, to be working alongside companies of this nature gives me confidence that our business can continue to grow and develop. These types of collaborations involving companies of the DHL stature in the logistics market become very exciting for us, and we all look forward to what will hopefully be a long-term partnership.
